YOUTH WELDING WORKSHOP – Open to the Public!

Join our Trades Director, Briana Huhn for our Youth Welding Workshop, students will learn about metal properties, safety, metal preparation, welding, and more. Some scrap metal will be provided, but we encourage students to bring some of their own. This class will suite beginning and intermediate youth welders.

Briana Huhn has been a welder/fabricator for 11 years across multiple industries. In addition to welding, Briana shares her love of the trades with children through a Minnesota based nonprofit, Big Ideas Inc. Her main goal is to help end the stigma that the trades are second rate. Her metalworking skills earned her a spot on Motortrend’s ‘Bitchin Bootcamp’ and Discovery Channel’s ‘Monster Garage’.

SATURDAY, MAY 7TH, 3:30 – 5:30 PM (12 MAX)
SUNDAY, MAY 22ND, 4:00 – 6:00 PM (12 MAX)
SUNDAY, JUNE 12TH, 4:00 – 6:00 PM (12 MAX)

PLEASE TIE HAIR BACK, WEAR JEANS, LONG SLEEVE COTTON FLANNEL, AND CLOSED TOE SHOES

CLASS FEE: $50 MEMBER/$60 NONMEMBER (a portion is tax-deductible)

By checking the above box, I understand that my registration is non-refundable. Memberships and subscriptions must be canceled 30 days in advance through info@comemakeit.com. This agreement releases Come and Make It!, Girl with Grit Program, and its affiliated parties from all liability related to injuries that may occur at any location at any class, camp, workshop, or event, regardless of whether injuries or contraction of illness are caused by negligence. I swear that I am participating voluntarily, and that all risk has been made clear to me. I forfeit all right to bring a suit against Come and Make It!, Girl with Grit Program, and its affiliated parties for any reason, in return, myself or my child will receive participation in Come and Make It! Girl with Grit Program. I will ask for clarification when needed. All students must adhere to a basic code of conduct and posted Makerspace rules.
